Profitec Pro 300 Dual Boiler Espresso Machine
The Profitec Pro 300 is a compact dual boiler espresso machine made in Germany. It lets you brew espresso and steam milk at the same time. PID temperature control keeps shots consistent. A built-in shot timer tracks extractions. The 2.8 liter water reservoir supports multiple drinks without constant refilling. At 39.7lbs and roughly 10″ by 16″ by 15″, it fits under most cabinets.
At $1,750, the Pro 300 costs less than full size prosumer machines like the ECM Synchronika or the Profitec Pro 700. Those models offer rotary pumps, plumb-in options, and larger steam boilers. They also take up more counter space and cost $1,000 to $1,500 more. The Pro 300 skips those features but keeps the core performance home baristas actually need.

- Profitec double spout portafilter
- 7 gram single shot filter basket
- 14 gram double shot filter basket

What Is the Profitec Pro 300
The Profitec Pro 300 is a dual boiler espresso machine from Profitec, a German brand known for build quality and reliability. It is for home baristas who want commercial-grade temperature control in a kitchen-friendly size.
If you are coming from a Profitec Go, the jump to dual boilers is noticeable. No more waiting to steam after pulling a shot. No more temperature surfing. The Pro 300 handles both at once, which matters when you are making lattes for two people before work.
The machine has two boilers. A 0.3 to 0.4 liter brass boiler heats brew water. A 0.75 liter stainless steel boiler generates steam. This separation means simultaneous espresso extraction and milk frothing. The PID controller sits on the front panel and lets you adjust brew temperature in one degree increments. Light roasts often need higher heat. Dark roasts taste better slightly cooler. You can dial this in without guessing.
The shot timer starts automatically when you begin extraction. It stops when you release the brew switch. This helps you repeat successful shots and troubleshoot when things go wrong.
Heat-up time runs 5 to 10 minutes. This is faster than many larger dual boilers. If you are comparing the best compact dual boiler espresso machine for daily use, this speed matters on busy mornings.
ECO mode shuts the machine down after a set idle time. Saves power and reduces wear. Useful if you forget to turn it off before leaving.
The 58mm portafilter is standard commercial size. Wide accessory compatibility. Upgrade baskets, tampers, and bottomless portafilters fit without issue.

Enjoying my new espresso machine. It’s so nice to be able to drip and foam at the same time. I spend WAY less time making my morning lattés now!

New to espresso but talked with some friends and EMW team and settled on this machine because: 1) dual boiler 2) cost 3) PID Main feedback I’d provide is that there seems to be plenty of steam for large milk drinks, and the recovery time is fast enough that (for a newbie at this) I haven’t had any problem making multiple drinks. You might have to wait a couple minutes at most, which gives you time to prep for the next shot. I still haven’t figured out how the hot water spigot is supposed to work. A bit of hot water comes out and then it’s mostly steam. I agonized over grinder options, and was really discouraged with the amount of work it was going to take to clean the Eureka I was looking at (getting the vacuum out regularly seemed intense). Went with another option from another company focused on low/zero retention and single dosing
