Updated OLED Display and Workflow Controls

One of the biggest changes in the Profitec Move is its modern OLED interface, which improves usability and makes it easier to manage shot timing, temperatures, and brewing parameters.

Programmable Pre-Infusion and Shot Volumes

Compared with earlier compact dual boiler machines, the addition of programmable pre-infusion and volumetric controls brings more flexibility for repeatable extractions.

Key Features of the Profitec Move Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

1. Compact Dual Boiler Espresso Machine Design

The Profitec Move features a dual boiler system for home espresso brewing, allowing simultaneous espresso extraction and milk steaming.

This setup improves workflow for:

  • Lattes
  • Cappuccinos
  • Flat whites
  • Multiple back-to-back drinks

Unlike single boiler machines, the Move eliminates waiting time between brewing and steaming, making it ideal for daily home coffee routines.

2. Dual PID Temperature Control for Espresso Precision

One of the standout features is independent PID temperature control for brew and steam boilers.

This allows precise adjustment for different coffee roast profiles:

  • Light roast espresso → higher brew temperature for full extraction
  • Medium roast → balanced sweetness and acidity
  • Dark roast → lower temperature to reduce bitterness

This level of espresso temperature stability ensures repeatable results and professional-grade extraction consistency.

3. Programmable Pre-Infusion & Shot Control

The Profitec Move includes adjustable pre-infusion for espresso extraction, improving flavor balance and reducing channeling.

Benefits include:

  • Better espresso crema development
  • Improved shot consistency
  • Reduced channeling in puck extraction
  • Enhanced flavor clarity

Combined with programmable shot volumes, it becomes a highly consistent automatic espresso dosing machine for home baristas.

4. OLED Display & Smart Workflow Interface

The updated OLED control interface improves usability and workflow efficiency.

Users can easily adjust:

  • Brew temperature
  • Steam pressure settings
  • Shot timers
  • Pre-infusion duration
  • Eco mode and auto-on scheduling

This makes the Profitec Move one of the most user-friendly prosumer espresso machines in its category.

5. 58mm Commercial Portafilter System

The machine uses a 58mm commercial-grade portafilter system, ensuring compatibility with professional espresso accessories.

This includes:

  • Bottomless portafilters
  • Precision baskets
  • Distribution tools
  • High-end tampers

It also supports long-term upgrades for serious home baristas building a full espresso setup.

6. Fast Heat-Up Dual Boiler System

The insulated dual boiler system ensures:

  • Stable brew temperature
  • Fast readiness in the morning
  • Efficient energy usage
  • Consistent espresso shots throughout the day

7. Compact Prosumer Espresso Machine Footprint

Despite its performance, the Move remains a compact espresso machine for small kitchens.

Upgrading to the profitec move was the best decision I made for my coffee setup, the difference in coffee quality is noticeable and the steam power is impressive I can make barista quality lattes at home now. The only downside is that it took some time to get used to the new controls but it was worth it

I decided to wait a month or so to write a review for this machine. After using it for 3-4 drinks a day for a month now all I can say is that I am blown away by how nice the move is. Everything about this machine is thought out and just works. I love the temp stability of the dual boiler setup, and the steaming power on this machine is amazing. Not to mention, the profitec lineup is absolutely stunning visually I was really impressed with EMW’s service as well I called a few times to get advice on what machine to go with and I never felt pressured to buy anything. Overall both the profitec move and EMD exceeded my expectations.

Me and my wife just got the Profitec Move a few weeks ago, and we’re both loving it. We were looking for a small espresso machine that didn’t take up too much space, and this one is perfect for our kitchen.

Product arrived in perfect condition, was up and running in no time. Love the machine. I’m going to have fun dialing it all in!

Shipped on time. Extremely well boxed. I was sent an email with a tracking information. This machine has been such a joy to use over the last two months. Given the delays from being out of stock at the factory, I almost jumped ship and went with another machine. I am very happy I didn’t. Machine performs flawlessly. There are a plethora of reasons to love this machine. I’ll try to keep this review short and to the point. Pros: 1) fast heat about 15 min. 2)Stable PID with fast recovery despite being a small dual boiler. It has recovered by the time I pull a shot and steam my first pitcher of milk. 3) Adequate steam pressure. There have been concerns from other sources about weak steam pressure. While it doesn’t have the steam pressure of a commercial machine or a large DB it is more than adequate. I don’t even have the PID all the way up and it makes silky milk. 4) Programmability. From sleep/wake to brew parameters. It has so many great features and an intuitive navigation. 5) Build quality. Solid construction with nice touch points. It’s also very quiet for a vib. Pump machine. The back flush leaking issue had been fixed months ago. No issues for me during cleaning. Cons: 1) Small drip tray. This is more of a nit pick since it’s perfectly adequate for this size of machine. I just wish it was slightly deeper. 2) If the drip tray isn’t pushed all the way back there can be a small gap causing a little water to escape the drip dray. If properly seated this doesn’t happen. All in all I was between a breville DB Ascaso duo + Rocket appt. TCA I’m sure all are great machines but I’m happy with my decision and that’s coming from someone who frequently has buyers remorse.

No issues whatsoever. Machine showed up quick and works like a charm. Looks sharp and feels really solid like they actually cared when they built it. I did my homework for a couple weeks trying to figure out exactly what I wanted and this thing hit every mark. I did see some people saying the steam wand is a bit underpowered but I am still learning the ropes so an extra 20 seconds to steam my milk does not bother me one bit. Bottom line this machine is amazing and the price feels totally fair for what you get.
